Peddinghaus Handwerkzeuge, well known in the market of handtools for more than 170 years now will take over the handtool-business from Robert Schröder, Wuppertal by 1st of January 2012.

The renowned company Robert Schröder located in Wuppertal/Germany will now concentrate on its customers in the automotive sector as the future focus.

The traditional manufacturer Peddinghaus gets an additional competence. As they are selling mostly forged tools today to the pan-European trading, Peddinghaus gets now a new knowlegde and experience in producing and selling screwdriving tools for professional users.

The customer base of both companies can now look forward to an interesting range, which remains unchanged in its production expertise but will increase significantly in marketing, logistics and sales due to the expected synergies.

The directors of both companies, André Casel for Robert Schroeder and Axel Hölscheid for Peddinghaus are proud on the progress in the intensive negotiations results.

André Casel said: "We will now focus on serving our customers in the automotive industry while the traditional brand Schroeder isn’t lost at the hand tools business. As all concerned employees will be retained by the company Peddinghaus, the transition will be made without any loss of experience. Even the customers will go ahead with the trusted contacts. In addition, we have been also successful to fulfill our social commitment as a family owned company.

Axel Hölscheid is looking forward to the portfolio expansion: "We are glad to extend again our range of products especially as this premium-tools are produced in Germany. It is the consistent further development of our group that defines itself mainly through the quality tools produced in our own production facilities.
