For generations, we have been producing high quality files – today, they are cut just as they were then. The teeth that are carved into the file blade are formed depending on the desired degree of sharpness. The finer the file, the smaller and tighter the strokes. The production is not the only interesting aspect, but also the name: rough serrations for which a lot of material is removed are called a bastard. Medium-fine serrations are called “semi-simple” and fine serrations are “simple.”
